Aurora — Alaska's Great Northern Lights

Aurora — Alaska's Great Northern Lights

Alaska's Great Northern Lights
May 24th through September 1st — CANCELLED for 2020

Statement from the Artist and Producer

Due to the global range of the extremely communicable COVID–19 and the rapidly advancing spread of infection by this contagion across the US over the indeterminate months ahead, I have chosen to close my 22nd Summer Season of the ‘AurorA Show-2020’ at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts.

As with thousands of businesses worldwide, I will close this year’s season to ultimately keep my own family members, my family of employees, our ACPA family, additional close-quarters workers & business associates safe from harm. Visitation to Alaska will absolutely be slim–to–none this year. Our patrons would be US & International travelers anyway, many of whom are seniors, who are high risk individuals as well. It would be irrational for me to continue (even if allowed to open) with “business as usual” and permit the very real probability of spreading this deadly disease. The virus doesn’t move itself…people move it!

Between all the recent & projected airline, cruise ship &amp Al–Can Highway shutdowns, the traveling populous our industries rely on just will not be visiting Alaska this season. One could be hopeful that this will change in the coming months…however that will not be the case. As the number of infections drastically rises, State & Government mandates/protocol will merely be extended time and time again or become more severe.

I will continue to plan ahead for the 2021-2023 seasons for now, though. All online orders at www.TheAlaskaCollection.com will remain available 24/7/365 & will be shipped out in a timely fashion.

Be safe & do take this viral menace seriously! Patience will prevail!
