2017-2018 “Pieces of Eight” Season

September 17th through March 23rd

Welcome aboard Anchorage Festival of Music’s pirate-themed season — “Pieces of Eight!” Launching the season is an evening of great grub and buccaneer-themed entertainment entitled “Yo Ho! A Treasure Chest of Pirate Songs and Dances.” Then we weigh anchor and set sail for “The Reformed Pirate: Scenes from Eight Baroque Operas.“ Our next port of call is “Pieces of Eight...Cellos“ which inevitably leads us to our ultimate destination the royal palace of King George III — “Eight Songs for a Mad King.”

Land lubbers welcome. Ahoy, me hearties, all hands ahoy!

Founded in 1956, the Anchorage Festival of Music (AFM) is dedicated to providing performance and enrichment opportunities to local musicians and audiences.
