Gnoss

Scottish folk band Gnoss is a group you can recognize after hearing their first notes. With a rich sonic tapestry of acoustic layers, the lads weave skillful musicianship, traditional roots, and contemporary flair into songs overflowing with character.

Hailing from the Orkney Islands off Scotland’s northern coast, this dynamic foursome—comprising fiddle, flute, guitar, bodhran, and vocals—unleashes energetic tunes and driving folk rhythms with maturity beyond their years. Three-time nominees at the Scots Trad Music Awards, Gnoss has earned fans all over Europe, including three consecutive sold-out performances at Glasgow’s famous Celtic Connections festival.

Folk Radio UK characterizes their latest album, produced by Scott Wood of Skerryvore, as “superbly balanced instrumental harmonies and some rather fetching melodies…the boys have captured a sound dipped in honey.”
