Now celebrating 14 years as a proud Fur Rondy event, the Great Alaska Talent Competition Finals is Alaska’s premier showcase of homegrown talent—bringing together the very best performers from across the state for one spectacular night at the Alaska Theatre of the Performing Arts in downtown Anchorage.

Each year, more than 50 acts from all corners of Alaska compete in preliminary rounds held at Williwaw Social. From singers and dancers to musicians and unique specialty acts, performers of all styles and backgrounds take the stage. A panel of expert preliminary judges narrows the field to the Top 12 finalists, plus one honorable mention, who advance to the Finals.

This competition is truly for all ages, open to performers 6 years old and up. Over the years, winners have ranged from seasoned adults to remarkable young talents—proving that greatness has no age limit.

Finalists are treated like true stars, complete with professional hair and makeup, catered nosh, swag bags, and VIP care thanks to our incredible sponsors, including Premier Sponsor The Hotel Captain Cook.

On Finals night, a panel of five celebrity judges will determine who earns the coveted title of Great Alaska Talent Competition 2026 Grand Champion, along with division winners, AK529 scholarship awards, and a $1,000 Grand Champion cash prize.
