The Alaska Youth Orchestras present their opening concert of the season under the direction of new Music Director David Platt! See how AYO is building a community where music education and performance are valued and shared for youth musicians across Southcentral Alaska!

This concert features the Anchorage Youth Symphony performing works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Margaret Brouwer, Samuel Barber, and Aaron Copland, celebrating America's 250th!

Also featured are AYO's Prelude and Overture ensembles, performing challenging works that will showcase their intense preparation during the fall.
